About

Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Denver, Colorado. Amanda believes we are each placed on this planet to thrive. It is our birthright to live out a life that we absolutely love. However, oppression, stress, and trauma can hinder our ability to move through life on our terms. Addressing these traumas and learning skills to manage the demands of our daily lives smoothes the way to a life that is truly joy filled.

With over a decade of experience in mental health, Amanda found very few wellness practitioners addressing financial wellness. 65% of American women report worrying about money, and 3 out of 4 millennials have experienced financial trauma! How is this not more addressed in the wellness world? Our finances are so integrally tied to our self esteem, freedom, and very survival. With a passion for personal finances and financial justice, Amanda has focused the last few years of her work on Financial Therapy. Amanda is a Certified Financial Social Work Counselor and a member of the Financial Therapy Association. Amanda specializes in Financial Trauma and works with her clients on understanding and improving their relationship with their money. Her thoughts on Financial Therapy have been featured in Yahoo Finance and Alive magazine. Many of Amanda’s clients are mid and post divorce women who have experienced financial abuse.

Amanda has trained in DBT, EMDR and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. These and other mind/body therapies have helped many, many people heal from adverse experiences and revitalize their ability to embrace healthy core beliefs. Amanda works to help her clients heal their nervous systems, learn skills for managing painful emotions, and incorporate their traumatic experiences to confidently move forward into an electrifying life.

Amanda has a passion for justice and creating a level playing field for all to thrive. She is neurodivergent (APD, ADHD, and Dyslexia) and is a special needs mama. She identifies as a Neurodiverse-Affirming Therapist and works to mindfully acknowledge her privilege wherever present.

When she’s not working to close the gender, racial, and disability wealth gaps, you can find Amanda boarding a plane, rock crawling in her bronco, or splurging on vintage vinyl. She believes in the healing power of nature and tries to get fresh air and sunshine daily. Amanda is mother to 3 little boys and is very accustomed to wrestling, big feelings, and messy situations.
