About

I am a licensed clinical counselor in the state of Colorado. I obtained a Bachelor's in Developmental Psychology and a Masters in Counseling. I am also currently pursuing my PhD in Clinical Counseling. My experience working in mental health is derived from both inpatient and outpatient settings. I am trained in prolonged exposure therapy and focus heavily on treating trauma. My motivation for treating trauma flourished during my military career. Since then, I have been passionate about helping people navigate their traumas to allow them to thrive. I also enjoy working with individuals who are looking to reclaim their lives by addressing symptoms that have been limiting them.

I pull from multiple modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, interpersonal therapy, and exposure therapy techniques to adjust my approach to your needs. Pulling from a variety of techniques allows me to work with clients experiencing mental health concerns including OCD, depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder to name a few. Everyone is unique and therapy should embody that.

I currently reside in the beautiful state of Colorado but am a Minnesota native. I enjoy spending time with my family including my husband, child, and two Great Pyrenees. I enjoy being outdoors, which makes Colorado the perfect location. From hiking and running to camping and skiing, I try to spend as much time as I can outside. I also enjoy crafts including stitching, painting, and drawing, which may be incorporated into art activities in sessions.
