Love Your Body: An Embodiment & Breathwork Circle for Moms

This sacred circle is the opportunity for you to reconnect with your body as a mom. We give so much of our physical, emotional and energetic life force to parenting, especially in the early years. Even if we take care of our bodies, we can become very disconnected. Our bodies change so much after bearing children and it can be really hard to accept the new versions of our bodies. And yet, our bodies are so sacred. We long to honor the sacredness rather than reject our bodies for not being enough.
This circle is a space for you define your new relationship with your body. To truly see it, love it and live in it. To reconnect to your sensuality and to embody confidence in your sacred body. If you have been feeling disconnected, critical or have lost your spark, this is for you. Our goal is for you to walk out of there loving the form you body and appreciating it for the sacred temple that it is.
NO POLE DANCING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY - pole use will be strictly simple movements to tap into sensual energy and exploration of our attitudes towards our body. This circle will take place at a pole dancing studio with mirrors, giving us the opportunity to truly see our bodies.
We will begin with an opportunity for connection in circle. Then we will center our bodies and spirits with a movement practice. Movement will help us release stuck energies and patterns and open our hearts and energy channels. With our open hearts and bodies taking the lead, we will then move into breathwork. And finally will end with integration through discussion in the circle.
This is an opportunity for you to take space for yourself to calm your thoughts and body, reset your Nervous System and tune into your body and soul. Breathwork is meant to help you shut off your thinking mind and feel more. People often have spiritual, expansive experiences and downloads as you are much more able to tap into your body and soul’s wisdom during breathwork.
This breath originates from the yogic pranayama breath which you will be laying flat on the floor for. While you can choose to make it intense, you may also choose to have a mellow journey. You will be in control of your experience.
How Breathwork Works
Breathwork is an opportunity for you to take space for yourself to calm your thoughts and body, reset your Nervous System and tune into your body and soul. Breathwork is meant to help you shut off your thinking mind and feel more. People often have spiritual and expansive experiences and downloads as you are much more able to tap into your body and soul’s wisdom during breathwork. This breath originates from the yogic pranayama breath which you will laying flat on the floor for. While you can choose to make it intense, you may also choose to have a mellow journey.
While this breathwork style is generally considered very safe and gentle, for safe measures, it is contraindicated for folks with epilepsy, heart and blood pressure issues, those who are pregnant, those who have had strokes or aneurysms, recent abdominal surgery and those with a past or current diagnosis of bipolar or schizophrenia. If you suffer from any of these concerns you should not participate in breathwork practice.

Breathwork is the practice of using the breath to connect to deeper levels of consciousness to elicit transformation on a cellular and spiritual level.
With breath, you cannot be in your ego or head, you must drop past the intellect into your energetic and spiritual existence.
I use a variation of a yogic breath, called a Pranayama breath. This breath has roots in the spiritual practice of yoga and also has been shown in scientific studies to improve blood flow to the body and brain as well as reduce stress and increase resiliency.
Breathwork is contraindicated for individuals who are pregnant and those with heart health issues, seizure disorders, blood pressure issues, asthma or stroke.
I have found breathwork to be the most powerful way to drop out of spiraling thoughts and into my body and spirit. With breathwork, you are given the gift of 30 minutes free from your ego. The possibilities are endless. I have experienced:
spiritual downloads in the form of imagery
deep trauma release through sensations moving in my body
significant physical releases related to fears and limiting beliefs
cosmic connections and out of body experiences
energetic charges in my body
powerful emotional releases making space for new possibilities
I have heard others speak of orgasmic and other unexpected experiences.
I have been shocked at just how powerful the breath is after spending 15 years in the healing fields. I have spent time learning so many different types of modalities and breathwork is by far the quickest and most effective route to spiritual and energetic shifts.
